and identify themselves as Green-minded,
and Anti-War.
The Best of Bend Visitor Guide represents Bend Businesses,
who recognize that Fortune Favors The Bold,
and who define success as being able
to choose their clientele, and surround themselves
with friends who believe in, and financially support,
a Green and AntiWar Culture in Bend that will fuel our New Prosperity.
Peak Oil has been the source of events this decade
that have been fiscally irresponsible and morally reprehensible.
The War on Terror has been unkind to our Planet,
and horrible to People, and now threatens even larger impact.
This War has stolen the Prosperity of Bend.
We need to create a culture within our Community
that shares it's Power with one another and will
create a unified Voice that cannot be ignored.
As a Consumer, and a Visitor to Bend,
would you like to have a guide that shares your values?
We would like to introduce to you some Bend Businesses
that are headed toward the new prosperous Green economy,
and those that take pride in representing Bend
as a Community that respects Planet and People.

The Best of Bend Visitor's Guide (BOB)
is very different from every other visitors guide.
Bob's not really a phone directory,
but more like your personal phone book,
that you can carry with you when you visit Bend.
Without taking up space on your cel phone,
to save local numbers while you are here,
there are many blank pages to place numbers,
and personal notes.
BOB is not an editorial packed with articles,
but a quick and easy to use little phone book
that will fit into your purse or fanny-pack.

Most directories or guides try to pack in
as many listings or ads on every page,
and the type is unreadable,
if not uncomfortable.
BOB doesn't want you to squint.
BOB wants you to smile.
We don't want to be big and yellow.
We are small on the outside,
and big on the inside.
So, we welcome you to Bend,
and we hope that you experience the Best of Bend,
which won't always require spending money.
The best things, here, as in Life, are free.
